Education has always been a passion for Dr. Bonjorni. From a young age, she was lining up stuffed animals and holding school for them and her siblings. A running joke in her family is that she started school at age five and never stopped.
Dr. Bonjorni has gone through every level of school you can go through and found that the learning process never stops. It is the job of an educator to constantly be learning and filling your mind with new things, new studies, new ways of engaging students. For her personally, that journey started as a young girl and has continued on as a mom.
Dr. Bonjorni and her husband have 11 children and have foster adopted children and through that process has learned to understand that children have many ways of learning. When they are put into environments that do not match or understand their behavior, they are not able to be successful, not because they do not know how to do school academic work, but perhaps the environment is holding them back.
Clovis Christian Schools was birthed out of a love of the idea that parents should have more say in their child’s education, should be relevant partners, and should want a different space for their children to learn. And many families are not able to homeschool or afford a private school. Perhaps there is not a charter school in their area.
CCS sees this as a need and wants to provide an affordable private education where parents can become partners and their child can become their very best selves.
